Recabin is a digital knowledge resource for those of you who work with the development of holiday homes and recreational areas.
The target group is small and medium-sized businesses in the leisure and recreation industry, and municipalities with large cottage developments.
Here you will find professional knowledge, good examples, practical solutions and guides that can be used from planning to use and management.
So that together we can start on the future tomorrow.

Four professional perspectives give us knowledge about how it is possible to build holiday homes – while taking into account the environment, nature and local communities.
Building without losing nature
By using "grey areas" and combining them with restoration, we can build holiday homes without losing nature. We may even be able to enhance it.
Building in cycles
Circular recreational home development is about making better use of resources – building less new, using more of what we have, and keeping materials and buildings in circulation for as long as possible.
Building with nature's solutions
With nature-based solutions, we can build holiday homes that integrate into the landscape, using nature's own processes and materials.
Building a community
Cabins can be a driving force for strengthening local communities. One must look at the whole picture and create projects that leave places in better condition than before.
Inspiration
What happens when theory meets practice? There is often a gap between the research and knowledge communities and the actors who work with the subject in a practical everyday work environment. Recabin presents six pilots that test new knowledge in practice.
